Outreach is our journey outward in Loving God and Serving Neighbor. We do this in hands on ministry to serve our neighbors locally and by building missionary outreach to serve neighbors in the U.S. and overseas.
Our involvement includes but is not limited to: CROP walk, Habitat for Humanity, Room in the Inn, Sandwich Making, Youth Mission Trips, Red Cross Blood Drives and the Peru Mission in Alto Cayma. We also provide opportunities for congregants to learn about community issues that concern them and to help them find methods and target for advocacy to voice their concerns as effectively as possible. In addition, we serve the children of the local community through ADVENTure preschool.
Room in the Inn begins the first Monday in December and concludes the last Monday is March. Sign up this Sunday to volunteer.
Through the generosity of the late Dr. William Wubben, an endowment in his honor helps funds various Outreach endeavors including Educational Awards. Recipients of such awards must write essays answering the following questions: How did you live out your faith at school during the last academic year? Discuss how your experiences (including worship activities, community or service projects, etc., in which you were involved during the last school year) have affected your spiritual growth.
Click on the following link to view answers from two of our recipients at the bottom of the “links and resources” page under Wubben Recipient.
